Overview of ancient town

  Qintong was once near the sea, Yangzhou in the Xia and Shang Dynasties, and Wu in the spring and Autumn period. There are plenty of water and grass here. There are thousands of milu deer in groups. The farmers do not plough. The fossils of elk antlers unearthed in the territory indicate that thousands of years ago, it was the place where the ancestors lived and where the milu deer lived. According to ancient records, 3000 years ago, there was a fairly developed economy and culture here.

  Surrounded by water, Qintong has beautiful scenery, fertile soil, elegant environment and pleasant climate, known as the Pearl on water. Entering Qintong, you will find that there is a long history and splendid culture. Yue Fei and Wen Tianxiang of Song Dynasty fought here and there. The Minister of the Ministry of the Ming Dynasty studied in shuiyunlou of the ancient town, where Jiang Lutan, a great CI poet of the Qing Dynasty, lived for a long time. Poet Wu Jiaji, painter Zheng Banqiao, scholar sun qiaonian, and Yu Youren of the Republic of China and Yuan Dynasty all left footprints here, expressing their feelings and chanting Qintong. The architecture of the ancient town is full of characteristics. The residential buildings are exquisite, the deep lanes are secluded, the streets are paved with stones, and the old wells are used as courtyards. They are full of tranquility and warmth. The lanes are zigzag and 18 curved, and only people can be connected in narrow places, but families are connected, and families are connected as one family. The thousand year old pagoda tree, the first king of Camellia in Shenzhou, 12 cultural relics protection units and the 60000 square meters of ancient buildings are in harmony with each other.

  The annual Qintong Boat Festival is famous for its unique cultural landscape and folk customs. Every Qingming Festival, on the vast Qinhu lake, there are thousands of boats competing for flower boats, tribute boats, dragon boats, pole boats and rowing boats. The cheerful Qintong people also brought dragon lantern, lion dance, Huadan, flower boat, opera, Lianxiang bamboo branch and donkey flower drum on the water stage. Qintong unique water folk culture is like a pure and sweet stream, flowing into the ancient and long history of the Chinese nation, and integrated with it, showing rare characteristics.
